apl312007
Imtra USB Charging DC-DC Converter, 8-40VDC to 5VDC, 2.5A

Overview

The Imtra IL-CONV15WDC-DC is a DC-DC voltage converter that transforms an 8-40VDC input into a regulated 5VDC output rated at 2.5A. It allows USB media ports to function as charging outlets, providing a practical way to power compatible electronic devices from a boat or vehicle's DC electrical system.

Particularly useful in 24V and 32V marine electrical systems, the converter works with compatible Vimar USB media ports to enable charging for smartphones, tablets, portable speakers, and other 5V USB-powered devices without requiring a separate AC power source.

Key features

8-40VDC input voltage range accommodates multiple DC electrical systems.

Regulated 5VDC output with a 2.5A current rating.

Converts compatible Vimar USB media ports into functional USB charging outlets.

Suitable for use with 12V, 24V, and 32V DC power systems.

Wired input and output connections support integration with existing electrical installations.

Installation and connections

The converter connects directly to the boat or vehicle's DC power supply through its input wires. When used with a compatible Vimar USB media port, the converter's output wires connect to terminals 4 and 1, with a jumper wire connecting terminals 3 and 2 to enable charging functionality.

Installation requires access to the DC electrical supply and the USB port's terminal connections. Wiring should follow the specified terminal arrangement, with the connected equipment's voltage and charging requirements verified before use.

Compatibility and use

This converter is particularly applicable to marine installations where an existing Vimar USB media connector is intended to serve as a charging point. It allows compatible USB-powered electronics to receive 5V power from the vessel's DC system while retaining the existing USB port location.

IL-CONV15WDC-DC
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0809/6658/2518/files/DC-DC_Converter_Module_Product_Photo-nobg-optimized.webp?v=1793199512
