The Lopolight 401-017 is a silver anodized aluminum mounting plate for Lopolight X01 series vertical sidelights. It gives the light a clean mounting surface and a solid base so the fixture sits straight on the vessel side.

This is a mechanical accessory with no electrical load, drawing 0 mA at both 12 VDC and 24 VDC. At 0.1 kg (3.53 oz), it is easy to handle during a refit while still providing a stable mounting point once fastened down.

Compatibility and fit

This plate is intended for the X01 series vertical sidelight form factor. Confirm the light you are mounting is the X01 vertical sidelight version, since Lopolight housings and bases vary by series and mounting style.

It is a mounting plate only. It does not replace the light, lens, or wiring, and it does not change your vessel voltage or lighting circuit requirements.

Installation and setup

Dry-fit the plate and the sidelight first to confirm the final orientation and cable routing before drilling or bedding. Use a marine bedding compound under the plate and around fastener holes to help keep water out of the core or structure.

Tighten fasteners evenly so the plate seats flat and the light body remains aligned. After installation, recheck fastener tightness after the first few trips, especially on planing hulls or any boat that sees a lot of vibration.

Materials and corrosion resistance

The anodized aluminum plate and A4 stainless hardware are suited to exposed mounting locations where washdowns and salt spray are normal. Rinsing the area with fresh water after heavy salt exposure helps keep the finish looking clean over time.

Use on board

This is a good match for owners replacing a damaged mounting plate, tidying up a previous install, or moving an X01 vertical sidelight to a new location during a refit. It also works well when you want the mounting hardware to blend in with other silver-finished fittings on the cabin side or superstructure.

Maintenance and care

Wash with fresh water and mild boat soap. Avoid aggressive abrasives that can dull the anodized finish. During routine navigation light checks, inspect the plate and fasteners for looseness and address any bedding gaps that could let water track into the mounting holes.
