Overview
The Lopolight 200-012 Series anchor light is a white all-round anchor light for horizontal mounting with 2 nautical mile visibility and a 10 to 32 VDC operating range.
It is specified for vessels up to 164 ft (50 m) and uses an LED light source in an anodized aluminum housing with an IP68 rating for exposure to spray and washdowns.
A 2.3 ft (0.7 m) cable is fitted for wiring into your anchor-light circuit, and it meets U.S.C.G., EN14744, and COLREG72 requirements.
Key features
- 2 NM all-round white anchor light, specified for vessels up to 164 ft (50 m)
- Horizontal mount format for hardtops, cabin roofs, mast platforms, and similar flat surfaces
- 10 to 32 VDC input suited to both 12V and 24V systems
- LED light source (single LED)
- IP68-rated housing for heavy weather exposure and washdowns
- Anodized aluminum housing with an HDPE circular baseplate
- 2.3 ft (0.7 m) attached cable for straightforward connection to a switched circuit
- Meets U.S.C.G., EN14744, and COLREG72 requirements
Variants
This series is offered in multiple configurations, with finish and style as the main differences.
Finish changes the exterior color, and style indicates standard operation or a version that supports strobe operation.
- 201-012-FB: Finish Silver, Style Standard. A clean silver look that blends well with many aluminum and stainless topside fittings.
- 201-012-FB-B: Finish Black, Style Standard. A dark finish that pairs naturally with black rails, antennas, and hardtop hardware.
- 201-012S-FB: Finish Silver, Style Strobe. The strobe style is used when a flashing mode is required alongside the standard configuration choice.
- 201-012S-FB-B: Finish Black, Style Strobe. Combines the black exterior finish with the strobe style option for matching darker topside layouts.
What’s included
- Navigation light with 2.3 ft (0.7 m) cable
- HDPE circular baseplate
- Mounting hardware
- Installation guide
Installation and setup
Mount the light on a solid, horizontal surface where it has an unobstructed 360 degrees of visibility. Common locations include a hardtop, pilothouse roof, or a mast platform on sailboats. Use the supplied baseplate and hardware, and bed fasteners as appropriate for your mounting surface to keep water out of the core.
Route the cable away from heat sources and moving gear, then connect it to a properly fused 10 to 32 VDC anchor-light circuit. If your helm uses a combined navigation and anchor switch, confirm the wiring supports independent anchor-light operation when needed.
Compatibility and fit
This is an all-round white anchor light intended for installations that need 2 NM visibility and compliance with COLREG72 rules. The 10 to 32 VDC range covers typical 12V and 24V onboard power without a separate voltage converter.
Before drilling, confirm the chosen spot is not shaded by antennas, radar, outriggers, or rigging, and that the cable route can be kept protected through the headliner, mast wiring channel, or a dedicated chase.
Materials and environmental protection
The anodized aluminum housing and IP68 rating suit exposed mounting locations where salt spray, UV, and vibration are normal. For mixed-metal installations, isolate contact points where practical and rinse salt residue during routine washdowns.
Use on board
This style of light is commonly used on coastal cruising boats that anchor overnight and want a clear, compliant all-round white indication from a compact, horizontal-mount unit. It also fits boats with limited vertical clearance on hardtops or pilothouse roofs where a low-profile mount keeps the light out of the way.
Maintenance and care
Rinse with fresh water and mild soap, and avoid abrasive pads on the lens and finish. During seasonal checks, confirm the fasteners remain tight, inspect the cable entry for movement, and look for corrosion at connections, especially after long periods in saltwater environments.
