Installation and setup

Mount the lamp on a flat surface using the gasket provided, then fasten it with the supplied screws. The lens can be used as a template for drilling the mounting holes, which is handy when lining up a row of step lights along a companionway or cockpit side.

Make connections with marine-grade practices: soldered joints and heat shrink sealing help keep corrosion out of the splice, especially in cockpit lockers and transoms.

Electrical and system integration

Match the lamp voltage to your DC system (12V or 24V). The unit is polarity conscious, so confirm positive and negative before final heat shrinking the connections.

Protect the circuit with a fuse rated at 2 A maximum. The lamp can be tied into an existing courtesy or cabin lighting circuit, and it supports dimming when used with a compatible Hella marine dimmer.

Use on board
