Overview
The Garmin 010-13248-00 is a perspective mode mount for an LVS62 LiveScope XR transducer, letting you run an overhead sonar view while the transducer is mounted on a trolling motor shaft.
It changes the transducer orientation so Perspective view becomes practical at the bow when you are picking apart shallow water, watching fish movement, or checking structure before you make a cast. The same setup can still be positioned for forward and down views when you want a different angle.
On a typical trolling motor install, leave a service loop in the transducer cable of at least 25 cm (10 in.) and keep at least 10 cm (4 in.) of free cable above and below the rotating joint so the motor can turn without pulling on the cable.
Key features
- Adds Perspective (overhead) viewing when used with the Garmin LVS62 LiveScope XR transducer.
- Made for trolling motor shaft mounting where you need the transducer to clear stow and deploy movement.
- Supports changing between Perspective, forward, and down views by repositioning the transducer orientation during use.
- Cleaner cable management guidance for rotating motors: allow slack at the pivot and secure the cable so it can move without kinking.
- Helps reduce cable fatigue when you secure the run with electrical tape or lightly snugged ties instead of over-tightened zip ties.
Compatibility and fit
This mount is intended for the Garmin LVS62 LiveScope XR transducer. The bolt pattern and orientation are specific to that transducer style, so it is not a universal sonar mount.
Before drilling or locking anything in place, dry-fit the assembly with the trolling motor fully stowed and fully deployed. Verify the transducer will not hit the bracket, lift assist, trailer, or bow roller during a hard turn or when the motor is bounced in chop.
Installation and setup
Mount the bracket on the trolling motor shaft in a spot that keeps the transducer protected and still gives the cable a smooth path up the shaft. Secure the cable above and below the rotating joint and leave the service loop so the motor can rotate freely.
After the hardware is in place, set the correct LiveScope installation orientation on your display so the picture matches the direction the transducer is facing. If your setup uses adjustment knobs, you can loosen, rotate to the view you want, and hand-tighten again. For a fixed view, use the low-profile fasteners used for more permanent positioning.
Use on board
This is a good match for bow anglers running LiveScope XR who want to switch between an overhead Perspective look and more traditional forward or down views without re-rigging the whole transducer mount.
Perspective view is most useful when you are working shallow cover and want to see targets in front of the boat as a top-down scene, especially when boat position and casting angles matter.
Maintenance and care
After use, especially in brackish or saltwater, rinse around the mount and hardware and check that fasteners are still snug. Inspect the transducer cable at the rotating joint and service loop for scuffs so you can address wear before it becomes a failure on the water.
