Overview

The Lopolight 301-001 Series is a starboard sidelight that mounts vertically and shows a 112.5° green sector with 2 NM visibility, intended for vessels up to 50 m (164 ft). It runs on 10-32 VDC so it fits typical 12V and 24V systems, and the housing is sealed to IP68 for wet mounting locations.

These lights are offered with silver anodized, black anodized, or white ceramic-coated housings, with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless mounting hardware. A 2.5 m shielded cable is pre-attached, so you can route it back to your navigation-light switch and DC protection.

Compatibility and fit

As a dedicated starboard sidelight, this unit installs on the starboard side and is used together with a matching port sidelight and the appropriate stern or all-round light for your vessel. The 112.5° sector needs a clear line of sight, so mount it where rails, davits, and canvas will not block the beam.

It connects as a standard navigation light on DC power and does not require NMEA networking or special controllers.

Installation and wiring

Mount the light on a flat surface using the supplied M6 screws, and bed the fasteners so water cannot track into the structure. Keep the body aligned so the lens faces forward correctly and sits plumb to maintain the proper sector.

Route the cable with a drip loop and secure it away from chafe points, then terminate it in a dry junction box or with a sealed connector. Connect it to your existing navigation-light circuit and follow your vessel’s wiring and fuse sizing practices.

Use on board

This series suits yachts and other vessels that need a 2 NM starboard sidelight in a vertical mounting format, especially in the 20-50 m range. The finish choices help match different paint and metalwork schemes, and the double stack option can fit electrical plans that call for separate control of two light modules.

Maintenance and care

Rinse salt spray off the lens and housing during normal washdowns and clean with mild soap and water. Periodically check fasteners and cable routing, and re-seal any penetrations if they are disturbed during service.
