Overview

This Vimar 6-button home automation control is a 3-module bus device for By-me Plus installations, with RGB LEDs that help locate the control in the dark and let you adjust brightness. Across this range, the core format stays the same: six buttons, a 3-module body, and a bus connection rather than direct 12 V or 24 V load switching.

For a boat refit or a new interior panel, the main fit question is the button family around it. The selected version is then completed with the correct half-buttons for Eikon, Arké, Plana, or Eikon Exé Flat/Tondo. This control range runs on BUS 29 V, draws up to 7.5 mA, and is specified for indoor use with IP20 protection and an operating range from -5°C to +45°C.

Variants

This control is offered in three executions.

The main differences are the execution type and the button family used to finish the front of the device. What stays consistent across the listed versions is the six-button control layout, RGB LED location lighting with brightness adjustment, and the 3-module format.

• VM01485: Standard execution, completed with interchangeable 1- or 2-module Eikon, Arké, or Plana half-buttons. This version fits installations already built around those Vimar series.
• VM01485.AX: Flat/Tondo execution, completed with interchangeable Eikon Exé Flat/Tondo buttons. This keeps the same control function while matching the Flat or Tondo button style used on the panel.
• VM01485.TR: Tropicalized execution, completed with interchangeable 1- or 2-module Eikon, Arké, or Plana half-buttons. This keeps the same control format in the tropicalized version of the unit.

Compatibility and fit

This is a bus control, not a direct power switch for pumps, lights, or other onboard loads. It makes sense on a vessel that already uses compatible Vimar automation hardware and needs a control point that matches the trim series already installed.

Check the front-button family before ordering. The standard and tropicalized executions use Eikon, Arké, or Plana half-buttons, while the Flat/Tondo execution uses Eikon Exé Flat/Tondo buttons.

Use on board

It works well in protected interior spaces where one compact control point needs to handle lighting scenes, blinds, or other grouped commands already programmed into the bus system. On yachts and cruisers, that usually means saloon entries, berth areas, companionway panels, or helm-side interior controls where low-light visibility matters.
