Overview
The Raymarine E70532-05-NAG is a 7 inch fishfinder and chartplotter combo with an included HV-100 transom-mount transducer and Navionics Plus USA & Canada chart coverage. It combines HyperVision 1.2 MHz sonar with RealVision 3D, SideVision, DownVision, and 200 kHz high CHIRP sonar, so you can read structure, weed edges, bait, and bottom changes with much more detail than a basic 2D setup.
The 7 inch 800 x 480 display is sunlight-viewable at 1500 nits and uses keypad control instead of touch, which is often easier to manage when the boat is moving, your hands are wet, or you are working in chop. Built-in GPS/GNSS keeps the plotter side self-contained, and the unit runs on 12 V DC with an 8 to 16 V operating range.
For boats that live outside or see regular spray, the housing is rated IPX6 and IPX7. This package makes sense when you want one display at the helm that can handle charting, waypoint work, and high-detail sonar without adding a separate sounder module.
Key features
- Includes the HV-100 HyperVision transom transducer for direct connection to the 15-pin sonar port.
- Built-in sonar covers HyperVision 1.2 MHz, standard 350 kHz imaging, and 200 kHz high CHIRP fishfinding in one unit.
- 7 inch optically bonded LCD with 800 x 480 resolution and 1500-nit brightness for open-helm visibility.
- 12 V DC operation with an 8 to 16 V input range, fitting common small-boat electrical systems.
- NMEA 2000 support through the supplied power and network cable for supported engine, sensor, and vessel data.
- IPX6 and IPX7 water protection, built-in GPS/GNSS, Wi-Fi, and a microSDXC card slot for charts, updates, and data handling.
Installation and setup
The included HV-100 is a transom-mount transducer, which keeps installation straightforward on many center consoles, bay boats, aluminum fishing boats, and similar layouts where a thru-hull is not the first choice. Because the sonar channels are handled through that single HyperVision transducer, you can add SideVision, DownVision, RealVision 3D, and 2D CHIRP without building a more complicated transducer package around the boat.
The display can be mounted on the supplied trunnion bracket or surface mounted at the dash, which helps when helm space is tight or the viewing angle needs to be adjusted. Keypad control, the oversized waypoint key, and the programmable shortcut keys are useful on boats where the operator needs quick input without reaching through menu layers.
Compatibility and fit
This unit is a good fit for 12 V boats that need a standalone fishfinder and plotter with NMEA 2000 integration. It connects to a NMEA 2000 backbone through the supplied power and network cable, so it can work with supported onboard data sources and can send position data to equipment on the same backbone such as a DSC-capable VHF installation.
On the sonar side, HyperVision mode gives the sharpest picture in shorter ranges, while the 200 kHz high CHIRP channel reaches much deeper water, up to 900 ft, for conventional fishfinding and bottom tracking. That mix works well for anglers who move between shallow structure work and deeper searching during the same trip.
Use on board
This package suits boats where a 7 inch display is the right size for the helm and the crew wants a clear step up from entry-level sonar. It fits well on freshwater rigs, inshore boats, and smaller coastal fishing setups where charting, waypoint management, and detailed structure views all need to live on one screen.
It is also a sensible match for owners who want to keep the install clean. The included transom transducer, built-in GPS/GNSS, and direct NMEA 2000 connection cover the basics without turning the helm into a larger networked multifunction system.
