Overview
The Garmin Quatix 7 is a marine GPS smartwatch that brings common helm controls and live boat data to your wrist when paired with compatible Garmin electronics. The family is water-rated to 10 ATM (pressure equivalent to 100 m) and is offered in 47 mm and 51 mm case sizes, with display and battery behavior that varies by version.
On board, you can use it for chartplotter remote control, autopilot control, anchoring tools, and streaming boat data. When Boat Data is paired and running, the watch can show up to three data fields per page and up to six pages of data, which is handy when you are moving between the helm, cockpit, and foredeck.
Key features
- 10 ATM water rating (pressure equivalent to 100 m) for everyday boating use, swimming, and weather exposure.
- Case size choices: 47 mm and 51 mm, with Standard, AMOLED, and Solar versions depending on configuration.
- MFD Remote pairing for compatible Garmin chartplotters, with initial pairing done within 3 m (10 ft.).

Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations that vary by case size, display type, solar charging, and color.
Across the quatix 7 family, the day-to-day marine experience centers on pairing with compatible Garmin systems for remote control and data streaming. The main differences you will feel are screen type and how long you can run between charges in smartwatch mode.
- 010-02803-80: Case size 47 mm, Version AMOLED, Color Navy Blue. This version uses an AMOLED display and runs up to 16 days in smartwatch mode, plus it includes the built-in LED flashlight for quick tasks in low light.
- 010-02540-60: Case size 47 mm, Version Standard, Color Blue. This version uses a sunlight-visible transflective MIP display and runs up to 18 days in smartwatch mode for longer trips without topping up.
- 010-02541-60: Case size 51 mm, Version Solar, Color Metal. This larger case supports solar charging and runs up to 28 days in smartwatch mode, with up to 37 days possible with regular outdoor exposure in bright conditions, and it includes the built-in LED flashlight.
Installation and setup
Getting started is mostly about pairing. For chartplotter features like MFD Remote and Boat Data streaming, bring the watch within 3 m (10 ft.) of the compatible chartplotter during pairing. The same short-range approach applies when pairing to a compatible autopilot, and trolling motor pairing is typically done even closer to the display panel.
Once paired, the watch can reconnect automatically when the devices are powered on, within range, and the related app is open on the watch, which keeps it practical for regular use on a boat that already runs Garmin at the helm.
Use on board
This is a good match for skippers who want to keep moving around the boat while still having quick access to common helm functions and live data. It also suits sailors and anglers who like being able to glance at boat data or make small control changes without stepping back to the display every time.
Maintenance and care
After saltwater spray, sunscreen, or dock grime, rinse the watch with fresh water and let it dry fully. Before charging or connecting the cable, make sure the contacts and the surrounding area are clean and dry to help prevent corrosion. Avoid chemical cleaners and do not press the buttons under water.
