Overview

The Lumitec SeaBlaze Quattro is a surface-mount LED underwater light for transom or hull-side installs that runs on 10-30vDC and is sealed to an IP68 rating. Output is 2000+ lumens in a compact housing, with a 3.80 in face diameter and 0.72 in depth, and it uses a 0.5 in through-hull hole for the cable.

The bronze housing and heat tempered glass lens are built for permanent below-the-waterline use where saltwater, washdowns, and vibration are normal. It draws 2.1A at 12VDC or 1.1A at 24VDC (25W rated), so it fits typical 12V and 24V DC systems without special drivers.

Variants

SeaBlaze Quattro is offered in two color-output configurations.

The difference between variants is the light color output. Both variants run on 10-30vDC and draw 2.1A at 12VDC or 1.1A at 24VDC.

• 101510 - Light color: RGBW. Full-color output is handled through a timed-toggle control method from a standard on/off circuit, with a dedicated white channel available for clean white light.
• 101511 - Light color: White/Blue. This version switches between white and blue output and supports a cross-fade transition.

Installation and setup

This is a surface-mount underwater light that routes its cable through a 0.5 in hole. Plan the location from inside the boat first so you have access for wiring, strain relief, and a clean sealant bed on the mounting surface.

Use marine-grade sealant at the cable pass-through and behind the light body to prevent water intrusion. The mounting screws are bronze, so tighten by hand rather than with a power tool to avoid damaging the fasteners or the mounting surface.

Electrical and system integration

SeaBlaze Quattro is commonly wired as a simple 2-wire hookup to a dedicated switch and fuse. A per-light fuse value of 7.5A on 12VDC or 5A on 24VDC supports startup and protects the circuit.

Keep voltage drop under control on longer runs by using appropriate wire gauge, especially on 12V systems. If the light blinks or behaves erratically, verify polarity and confirm the light is seeing at least 10vDC at its leads under load.

Placement on the hull

For transom mounting, placement is typically 6 to 12 in below the waterline, with additional lights spaced about 1 to 3 ft apart depending on the width of the stern and the spread you want in the water. On outboard boats, placement between motors is commonly used to avoid shadowing.

Avoid mounting on running surfaces or areas that see heavy aeration, since turbulent water can reduce the visible effect and can be hard on cabling and sealants over time.

Use cases on board

This style of light is a practical fit for boats that spend time at the dock, in anchorages, or on night runs where underwater illumination helps with visibility around the swim platform and the stern. It is also commonly used for nighttime fishing when a controlled white or blue output is preferred.
