Vimar Bluetooth LE RF Switch, 4-Button, Batteryless, 2-Module

Overview

The Vimar VM3925 is a 4-button Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) RF transmitter module that generates its own power when you press or release the switch, so there are no batteries to replace and no power feed to run.

It transmits BLE advertising telegrams in the 2.4 GHz band (2402 to 2480 MHz) and fits a 2-module surface installation. The electronics module is completed with compatible Vimar 2-module button sets (Eikon 20506/20506.2, Arké 19506/19506.2, Idea 16526/16526.2, or Plana 14506/14506.2).

With an IP40 protection rating, it belongs in protected interior locations such as cabins, nav station panels, or inside a hardtop. Typical range guidance is up to 75 m line-of-sight, with shorter range in enclosed spaces. Operating temperature is -25°C to 65°C, with 0% to 95% RH humidity (non-condensing).

Compatibility and fit

This unit sends BLE telegrams and needs a compatible BLE receiver, actuator, or gateway on the boat to turn button presses into a lighting, dimmer, blind, or scene action. It is not a direct-wired switch and it is not a KNX, KNX-RF, LON, or Powernet device.

The body is sized for 2 modular spacings and is meant to be finished with the matching 2-module button kit for your Vimar series. Plan the mounting depth and make sure the button or rocker can press the energy bow smoothly without binding.

Installation and setup

Mount it on a flat surface where it will not be knocked by gear and where crew can use it without bracing on the wall. Because it is self-powered, there is no battery door and no external power wiring, which keeps refits clean when you are trying to avoid pulling new cables through liners and conduits.

Commissioning is handled through the NFC interface as part of the supported control system workflow. Once paired, each action sends an encrypted radio telegram tied to the device ID, which helps keep multiple controls on board from getting mixed up.

Placement on board

IP40 is suitable for dry spaces but not for open cockpits, flybridges, or lockers that see spray. If the mounting area is prone to condensation, improve ventilation and avoid mounting directly under deck hardware that can drip.

This makes sense for interior control points on cruisers and performance boats where you want a switch by the berth, companionway, or helm without opening panels to run a new switch leg, as long as the boat already has compatible BLE automation hardware.
