The IBR9ECS (86-4677) has excellent ignitability and a long life span. Slow wear rate ensures steady idle, increased anti-fouling, higher fuel efficiency, and fewer pollutants with fine-wire iridium topped center electrodes and fine wire platinum capped ground electrodes. A longer insulator nose prevents fouling, corrugated ribs on the insulator prevent flashover, and a triple gasket seal prevents combustion gas leakage. The high melting point of BR9ECS (86-4677) makes it heat and electrical wear-resistant, making it perfect for today's high-performance engines.

- Anti-corrosion and anti-seizing capabilities are improved with trivalent metal plating.

- Pure alumina silicate ceramic is used to make the isolator, which is exceptionally robust and heat resistant.
