The 5"X3/4" HOOK DISC PAD (8-85105-8) uses a rotary, orbital, or random orbital sander with a hand-held sanding tool. The 45-degree tapered edge gives flexibility and makes it easier to feather-edge or integrate the sanded area. The hook-and-loop design allows disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment simple, allowing the disc to be used and re-used for the duration of its abrasive life. Hookit disc pads include J-shaped hooks similar to those seen in most hook-and-loop applications. Hookit disc pads grasp discs' brushed nylon loop backings and produce a better finish than adhesive-backed discs. The Hookit technology uses in environments where dust, grime, or flying debris could contaminate adhesive-backed discs.
