This item does not fit King Cobra!

• Complete kit with gasket set for repairing the mechanical lower shift cable on OMC Cobra Sterndrives from 1986 to 1993.

• OMC 987661 is now obsolete (older part numbers 986654, 987498).

• This cable is compatible with all normal carbureted Cobra drives (not King Cobra) from 1988 to 1993. If the cable and shift arm has been changed to the red cable, it will also suit previous versions from 1986 and 1987. Unless the shift arm is updated, it will not replace the original black wire for the 1986 and 1987 models.
