Overview
The Jabsco 11810-0003 is a bronze AC motor pump unit with a flexible nitrile impeller for 115V service. It is a self-priming utility pump that suits bait tank circulation, oil transfer, washdown, and dockside pumping, with output up to 9.6 US gpm and maximum head up to 40 ft.
This version uses a 1/3 HP single-phase motor running at 1725 RPM, paired with a bronze pump body, lip-type shaft seal, stainless steel sleeve over the motor shaft, and a replaceable wearplate. Flow stays smooth rather than pulsing, and the pump can handle hard and soft solids that would stop many light-duty utility pumps.
Because this is a 115V AC unit with an open drip proof motor, it is better suited to shore power, dock, yard, and service-area use than to a 12V or 24V DC onboard circuit. The nitrile impeller also makes it a practical match for water and compatible oil-transfer jobs where a general-purpose utility pump is needed.
Key features
- 115V AC, 1/3 HP, 1725 RPM, single-phase motor with 8 ft cord, grounded 3-prong plug, and carry handle
- Bronze pump body with nitrile impeller, replaceable wearplate, lip-type seal, and stainless steel sleeve over the motor shaft
- Flow up to 9.6 US gpm with maximum head up to 40 ft
- 3/4 in NHT external ports and 1/2 in NPT internal ports for hose or threaded plumbing connections
- Non-pulsating flow and the ability to pass hard and soft solids without clogging
- Continuous-duty pressure up to 20 psi
- Nitrile impeller suited to liquid temperatures from 50°F to 180°F
Installation and setup
The pump may be mounted in any position without loss of efficiency. For vertical installs, head-down mounting is the preferred orientation. When looking at the pump end cover, the right-hand port is the inlet, so it is worth checking hose routing and service access before the unit is fixed in place.
The direct-drive layout keeps the package compact for a utility AC pump, and the port arrangement gives you the choice of hose-thread or internal pipe-thread connections at the pump head. That helps when tying into an existing washdown, transfer, or service hose setup around the dock or aboard a boat that already has 115V AC available.
Compatibility and fit
This pump is a good fit for owners, yards, and commercial users who need a portable AC utility pump for washdown, bait circulation, transfer, or general service work. It is not the right choice for a 12V or 24V DC system, and it should not be used where flammable vapors are present.
It is also worth matching the liquid to the pump. Solvents, thinners, and highly concentrated or organic acids should be avoided. When the pump is used with corrosive fluids, flushing it with water after use helps extend service life.
Maintenance and care
This pump is straightforward to maintain because the impeller, gasket, seal, and wearplate are normal service items. Do not run it dry for more than 30 seconds, since the pumped liquid provides lubrication to the impeller. In freezing conditions, the pump should be drained by loosening the end cover.
For marine users, this is the kind of pump that makes sense when you want AC-powered utility capacity with simple service access and common connection options, without stepping up to a larger permanent transfer system.
