Air, acetylene, cold ammonia gas, alcohols, inorganic salt solutions, sugar liquors, castor oil, ethyl chloride, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, formic acid, hydrochloric acid, water, seawater, wines, and spirits can all be sealed with natural rubber seals. Organic solvents, petrol, aviation turbine fuels, hydraulic oils, transformer coolants, mineral oils, and other organic solvents are appropriate for nitrile rubbers. There are nitrile rubbers with a high acrylonitrile content and a low acrylonitrile content to make seals. Depending on the performance requirements, synthetic rubber blends are for the formulation of a compound. The above-mentioned fuels can also be sealed with neoprene rubber seals. For high aromatic liquids, nitrile seals are ideal.
