A CD stator for 2" cylinders of Evinrude, Johnson, and Gale Outboard Motors by CDI Electronics uses flame-proof, tin-coated, solvent-resistant lead wires in all of its electrical components, including stators. In the outboard motor environment, the wire is long-lasting and corrosion-resistant. Stators' narrower windings and no nylon overcoat allow heat to drain more efficiently from the windings during usual operation. The CDI Stator windings surface with a high-temperature insulating material for added endurance. CDI Stators make a substantial magnet wire winding on their capacitor charge coils. It will lead to less electrical current flow, generating a cooler operating coil. This design will extend the life of this critical source of power for the ignition system.
