Sea Star Solutions Head Gasket Yamaha (1) (18-3892)

Unlike any other gasket in the engine, it simultaneously seals oil, coolant, and compression from the cylinders, making it the most strained gasket. The cylinder head and block's oilways are sealed by the head gasket, allowing oil to flow freely throughout the engine. The same is true for waterways, allowing coolant to move where it is needed. Further down the road, a head gasket that is defective or improperly placed is also likely to fail. Head bolts must be turned such that a seal may develop without the bolts being either too loose or too tight, which would crush the gasket. The head gasket prevents coolant and oil from combining and sealing the internal combustion process.
