Injectors either directly dispense gasoline into the combustion chamber or onto the intake manifold (manifold injection) (petrol direct injection). The electric fuel pump transfers fuel from the tank to the injectors using manifold injection. Modern electrical fuel pumps function primarily by using a DC motor in the pump assembly to draw in the fuel from your gas tank. A cylinder can then be injected with it once it has been sent up the fuel line and into the fuel rail. It then ignites when it comes into contact with air and a spark.
