Cdi Electronics Stator- Optical- Gray Sl- (173-4981)

The corroded lead wires in the standard stator have been improved by CDI Electronics. The STATOR- OPTICAL- GRAY SL-173-4981 is flame-proof, tin-coated, solvent-resistant lead wires. The wire is durable and corrosion-proof in the environment of the outboard motor. The Nylon overcoating and loose stator windings in the traditional stators cause overheating in the stator. The STATOR- OPTICAL- GRAY SL-173-4981 has tight windings and no nylon covering, allowing heat to drain from the stator winding more efficiently during operation. The design will prolong the life of this critical source of power for the ignition system by using larger magnet wire winding on their capacitor charge coils.
