This freshwater version uses a water control solenoid valve with an anti-siphon breaker and can be plumbed to a pressurized water system capable of at least 3-1/2 GPM (13.5 LPM). Water use is typically 1 to 2 quarts per flush, and the toilet uses a 3/4 inch (19 mm) inlet hose barb with a 1 inch (25 mm) discharge hose barb.

The range covers 12 V DC and 24 V DC systems, with compact and regular bowl options. Each model uses a white vitreous china bowl and a macerator discharge pump, making it a practical fit for many cruising boats, fishing boats, and yachts where the head is connected to a holding tank or suitable discharge plumbing.

Installation and setup

The discharge side uses 1 inch (25 mm) hose to route waste to a holding tank or an approved overboard discharge arrangement where regulations allow. Keeping the discharge hose run short and reducing sharp bends helps the macerator pump work efficiently. Where the toilet is installed below the waterline and connected to an overboard discharge through-hull, the discharge plumbing must use a vented loop that remains above the waterline at all angles of heel and trim.

Electrical and system integration

Select the voltage variant that matches the vessel system. The 12 V DC models are suited to common 12 volt boat electrical systems, while the 24 V DC models suit vessels with 24 volt DC service. Wiring should be run as an independent circuit with marine-grade stranded copper wire, the correct fuse or breaker, and wire size matched to the total circuit length.

The switch panel needs to be located within easy reach of the user and with enough access behind the mounting surface for wiring to the pump and solenoid valve. The separate water and discharge controls are useful at sea because the bowl can be emptied more completely before rough-water passages.
