Overview
The Jabsco Quiet Flush E2 is an electric marine toilet range built for boat heads where quiet operation, flexible plumbing, and simple control matter. It is available in compact and regular bowl sizes, with 12 VDC or 24 VDC electrical options, and with either on-board fresh water rinse or sea, river, or lake water rinse configurations.
The system uses a touch pad controller with eco flush, normal flush, and dry bowl functions. Eco mode uses only 1 litre per flush, which helps conserve tank capacity and fresh water on longer trips. Compact models measure 14.0 in high, 13.9 in wide, and 16.3 in deep, while regular models measure 14.4 in high, 14.8 in wide, and 18.9 in deep.
This range suits powerboats and sailboats installed above or below the waterline, with discharge routed to an approved holding tank, treatment system, or overboard system where regulations allow. The rotatable base and pump layout help when fitting the toilet into tight heads or refit spaces.
Key features
- Electric flush toilet range with compact and regular bowl choices for different head layouts.
- 12 VDC and 24 VDC versions match common marine electrical systems.
- Fresh water versions connect to a pressurized on-board water system through a solenoid valve and double non-return valve.
- Raw water versions use a remote self-priming rinse pump with Pumpguard strainer for sea, river, or lake water intake.
- Touch pad control gives eco flush, normal flush, and dry bowl operation from one panel.
- Eco flush uses 1 litre per flush, helping reduce water use and holding tank load.
- Toilet base can be mounted in 90 degree increments, and the discharge pump can rotate 180 degrees to help route pipework.
- Quick-release C-clip access allows the discharge pump assembly to be removed for service with minimal tools.
- 1 in outlet can be adapted to 1.5 in discharge hose using the supplied adaptor.
Variants
The Quiet Flush E2 range varies by bowl size, rinse water source, and voltage. Compact and regular bowl options give flexibility for smaller heads or more spacious installations, while 12 VDC and 24 VDC versions allow the toilet to match the vessel electrical system.
Fresh water versions are for boats with a suitable pressurized fresh water supply. Sea, river, or lake water versions are for installations that draw rinse water through a dedicated intake, pump, and strainer. The control style and core toilet platform remain consistent across the range.
Electrical and plumbing compatibility
The electrical installation should be matched to the selected voltage. The 12 VDC versions draw 20 amps and use a 25 amp fuse or breaker, while the 24 VDC versions draw 10 amps and use a 15 amp fuse or breaker. Marine grade multi-strand copper wire, protected connections, and the correct fuse or circuit breaker are important for stable pump performance.
Fresh water versions require connection to a pressurized cold water system capable of at least 3 GPM. Raw water versions use 3/4 in intake hose and should be installed with the correct seacock, strainer, and vented loop arrangement when required by the toilet position and waterline. Discharge plumbing can use 1 in hose or the supplied adaptor for 1.5 in hose.
Installation and setup
The base can be oriented to the left, right, or rear of the bowl, and the discharge pump can be rotated to suit rear-facing pipework. This is helpful in small heads where bulkheads, lockers, or existing sanitation hose runs limit where the toilet can sit.
Install the toilet on a flat mounting surface with enough strength to support the unit and the user. The system should be laid out with short hose runs where possible, protected against chafe, and fitted with accessible seacocks or secondary valves when connected to through-hull fittings.
Use on board
This range is a practical match for cruising boats, fishing boats, charter vessels, and sailboats that need an electric head with straightforward controls. The dry bowl function is useful while underway because it leaves the bowl empty when the boat is moving.
Maintenance and care
The ceramic bowl can be cleaned with a liquid or cream ceramic cleaner. The seat, lid, shroud, and other exterior parts should be cleaned with a non-abrasive liquid cleaner and wiped dry.
Avoid bleach, acetone, aggressive chemical cleaners, thick liquid toilet cleaners, and abrasive pads. Regular checks for hose security, leaks, electrical connection condition, and seasonal winterization help keep the toilet system ready for service.
