Overview
The Raymarine B765 is a bronze through-hull CHIRP transducer family for boats that need depth and water temperature data through a Raymarine CHIRP fishfinder system. It uses a 300 W low-frequency ceramic together with either a 600 W high-frequency or 600 W medium-frequency ceramic, depending on the selected variant.
The B765 is built for through-hull installation in fiberglass and wood hulls, with support for 0° to 24° deadrise angles. It includes a 33 ft / 10 m cable and uses an 11-pin CHIRP transducer connector for direct connection to compatible Raymarine displays and sonar modules.
This transducer range suits smaller fishing boats where a compact thru-hull body is preferred, but the sonar setup still needs CHIRP coverage for bottom reading, depth penetration, and fish target detail.
Key features
- Bronze through-hull transducer for fiberglass and wood hull installations.
- Records depth and water temperature for Raymarine fishfinder systems.
- 300 W low-frequency ceramic paired with either a 600 W high-frequency or 600 W medium-frequency ceramic.
- Low-frequency CHIRP band covers 40 to 75 kHz for depth penetration.
- 11-pin CHIRP connector mates directly with Axiom Pro RVX, Axiom 2 Pro RVM, RVX-1000, RVM-1600, CP470, CP570, and legacy CHIRP sonar modules.
- 33 ft / 10 m cable supports routing from the thru-hull location to the helm or sonar module area.
- Fits hull deadrise angles from 0° to 24°.
- Included fairing helps broadband performance at speeds over 30 knots.
Variants
The Raymarine B765 is offered in two frequency profiles. Both versions share the bronze through-hull format, depth and temperature sensing, 33 ft / 10 m cable length, 11-pin CHIRP connector, and 0° to 24° deadrise range.
The main difference is the second CHIRP band paired with the 40 to 75 kHz low-frequency band. The Low-High version narrows the beam for target separation, while the Low-Medium version gives more coverage under the boat with strong bottom detail in mid-depth water.
- A80014: Frequency profile Low-High. This version pairs the 40 to 75 kHz low band with a 130 to 210 kHz high band, with beam widths of 23° to 21° on low and 15° to 9° on high.
- A80015: Frequency profile Low-Medium. This version pairs the 40 to 75 kHz low band with an 80 to 130 kHz medium band, with beam widths of 23° to 21° on low and 24° to 16° on medium.
Compatibility and fit
The B765 is intended for Raymarine CHIRP sonar systems that accept the 11-pin CHIRP transducer connection. It is a strong match for Axiom Pro RVX, Axiom 2 Pro RVM, RVX-1000, RVM-1600, CP470, CP570, and compatible legacy CHIRP sonar modules.
For hull fit, confirm that the installation location is suitable for a bronze through-hull transducer and that the vessel has a fiberglass or wood hull. The 0° to 24° deadrise range is important when selecting the mounting position so the sonar beam is aimed correctly below the boat.
Installation and setup
This is a thru-hull transducer, so installation requires drilling the hull and bedding the bronze housing correctly. The fairing should be aligned carefully so water flow across the transducer remains clean while the boat is moving.
Route the 33 ft / 10 m cable away from sharp edges, heavy current wiring, and areas where bilge water or service work could damage the jacket. Before final installation, confirm the connector route reaches the display or sonar module without tension at either end.
Use cases on board
The B765 is a practical choice for fishing boats that need CHIRP depth and temperature data from a permanent thru-hull installation. The Low-High profile is useful when tighter target separation matters, while the Low-Medium profile gives a wider look under the boat with bottom detail in mid-depth conditions.
