Overview
The Hella Marine 980585201 is a black plastic spare trim bezel for the Slim Line LED square courtesy lamp family. It is the visible rim that finishes the edge around the lens, so you can replace a damaged trim or change the look without touching the wiring.
This trim is used one per lamp and matches the square Slim Line face size (60 mm). It is meant for the recessed-mount square courtesy lights often used for step lighting, companionways, cockpit walkways, and other low-level areas where you want light that stays comfortable at night.
This is the trim bezel only, not the light itself.

Compatibility and fit
This trim suits the Slim Line LED square courtesy lights that run on 12V or 24V DC and are sealed to IP67. Changing the rim does not alter the electrical side of the installation, but it is worth keeping the gasket and sealing surfaces undisturbed so the light stays properly sealed.
It is used across the square lamp family offered in white, warm white, blue, and red outputs. As a quick visual check, the square face is 60 mm and the light is typically recessed into a 50 mm cut-out.
It is not intended for round courtesy lights or other Hella Marine light families that use different bezel styles and sizes.
Installation and setup
Isolate power at the switch panel before working around the light. Remove the existing bezel from the lens, then fit this trim onto the lens once the lamp body is mounted.
If the light is being removed and reinstalled at the same time, mount the lamp to a flat surface with its gasket in place. After fitting the bezel, restore power and confirm the rim sits flush with no gaps.
Use cases on board
Handy for keeping a consistent look when one cockpit step light trim gets knocked or sun-faded, or when you are moving to black hardware and want the courtesy lights to match.
A good match for owners and crews who keep small service spares on board for high-traffic areas where trims take the most abuse.
Maintenance and care
Rinse with fresh water and clean with a mild boat soap as needed. Avoid strong solvents that can haze plastic finishes.
