Overview
The Hella Marine 358117131 is a slim LED strobe lighthead that mounts flat and flashes white when you need a clear warning signal on board.
It runs on 10 to 30V DC, so it fits both 12V and 24V systems, and draws 3W. The low-profile housing measures 3.7 in long by 1.5 in wide by 0.4 in deep (94 x 38 x 10 mm), which works well when you need a light that stays out of the way on a cabin side, hardtop, console, or equipment area.

Installation and wiring
This lighthead is typically surface-mounted on a flat, rigid section of fiberglass, aluminum, or a solid panel. Keep the mounting area clean and firm so vibration does not work the fasteners loose, and route the cable where it will not chafe on edges or get crushed by hatches and doors.
The 8 inch lead comes with open wire ends, which makes it straightforward to tie into a dedicated warning circuit or a switch panel. Use a fuse or breaker appropriate for the circuit, and seal connections in wet locations with marine-grade terminals and heat shrink.
Use cases on board
This style of strobe is commonly used on commercial boats, patrol and security craft, towboats, and support vessels that need a compact warning light on the exterior. It is also a practical fit for dockside service work where a white strobe helps signal that equipment is active.
