The Handi-Man Marine SIZE 4 SHEAR PIN is a refill shear pin that comes in a box of five. It is commonly referred to as a shear bolt and varies from a standard bolt because it intends to break or "shear," which is advantageous in this condition. If there is a blockage between the auger and the housing, shear pins have a weak area in their design that will break.

The shear break prevents damage to your auger gearcase if a heavy object gets jammed between your extractors and the housing.

They contain characteristic grooves that allow them to snap if there is too much torque.
