The display uses an optically bonded IPS screen with 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution and 1,200-nit brightness, so chart detail and sonar returns stay readable in open cockpits and bright pilothouses. It runs on 12V or 24V DC systems with an 8V to 32V DC operating range, and the IPX6/IPX7 rating helps it cope with spray, rain, and regular washdowns at exposed helm stations.

For boats with growing electronics systems, this unit gives you RayNet Ethernet, NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, dual front microSDXC card slots, and built-in GNSS. Installation and setup

The Axiom Pro 12 RVX can be surface mounted or trunnion mounted, which gives installers flexibility for flush dash layouts, console refits, and bracket-mounted helm stations. Surface-mounted dimensions are 8.77 inches high by 14.1 inches wide by 9.18 inches deep including cables, so the space behind the dash needs to be checked before cutting or replacing an older display.

The power, video, and NMEA 0183 cable is supplied for core electrical and legacy data connections. For NMEA 2000 or SeaTalkng systems, the included DeviceNet to SeaTalkng adaptor cable helps tie the display into the vessel network. A 15 A fuse rating is specified for the power feed.

Electrical and system integration

This display is made for boats that use the MFD as the center of the helm network. The RayNet ports allow expansion with compatible Raymarine radar, external sonar modules, additional displays, and IP video sources, while the NMEA 2000 port handles engine, instrument, AIS, heading, and other network data where compatible equipment is installed.

It also supports one analog video input through BNC and up to 10 IP cameras, which is useful for engine room monitoring, cockpit views, docking cameras, or keeping an eye on deck areas from the helm. Evolution autopilot control and compatible audio integration can also be handled through the display when the rest of the system supports it.

Sonar and navigation use

The RVX sonar package is aimed at captains who want both shallow-water imaging and offshore CHIRP capability from the same helm display. RealVision 3D, DownVision, SideVision, and CHIRP sonar views help with finding structure, bait, and fish around reefs, wrecks, ledges, and drop-offs, while the 1kW sonar connection supports deeper-water use with a compatible 1kW transducer.

The included LightHouse North America chart card gives the unit ready navigation coverage for North American waters. With the large screen, physical controls, and network expandability, this MFD works well as a primary helm display on fishing boats and cruising boats where chart, sonar, radar, and system data need to be viewed from one place.
