The 1/8 X 36" #5556 ALUMINUM (16-820) is an aluminum welding electrode by Washington Alloy. It is an aluminum filler metal with more manganese and zinc content and partially more magnesium than Washington Alloy 5356. As a result, Washington Alloy 5556 has increased conductivity and crack resistance. This alloy is suitable for MIG and TIG welding processes; the 5154, 5254, 5454, and 5456 are common base metals. The melting range is around 1065o-1175oF, with a white post-anodizing color tint. The ultimate tensile strength will be around 46,000 pounds per square inch.
