Washington Alloy 1/16 X 36" Er308L Stainless Steel (Tt 308/308L 04)

1/16 X 36" ER308L Stainless Steel (16-711) by Washington Alloy is a high-quality stainless steel welding rod used in welding base metals of similar composition such as 201, 202, 301, 302, 304, 305, and 308. It has a lower carbon content (.03 percent maximum) that effectively resists intergranular carbide precipitation, which can eventually cause weld corrosion. The stainless steel welding rods create the best bead appearance when TIG welding various materials. The chromium and nickel levels are balanced to deliver enough ferrite in the weld for high resistance to hot cracking.
