Overview
The Raymarine A06032 is a SeaTalk NG blanking plug for closing an unused white spur connection in a Raymarine SeaTalk NG network. It locks into the open spur port to help weatherproof that connection point while keeping the network ready for future expansion.
SeaTalk NG is Raymarine's cabling system for NMEA 2000 data, so small network parts like this matter when a boat's displays, instruments, sensors, or converters are being added in stages. This plug is used on open ports found on SeaTalk NG T-piece connectors, 5-way connectors, instruments, displays, and SeaTalk to SeaTalk NG converters.
Key features
- Covers an unused white SeaTalk NG spur connection
- Black rubber plug locks into open ports to help weatherproof the socket
- Fits SeaTalk NG T-piece connectors, 5-way connectors, instruments, displays, and SeaTalk to SeaTalk NG converters
- Used for spare spur ports, not as a backbone terminator
- Not interchangeable with the blue SeaTalk NG backbone terminators
Compatibility and fit
This part is meant for unused spur sockets in a Raymarine SeaTalk NG network. It is not the right part for the blue backbone ends of the network, so it should only be used where a white spur connection is left open.
It makes sense on boats where the network is being built out over time and one or more spur ports will stay unused for now. That can include helm stations, instrument pods, electronics lockers, or converter connections where you want the spare port closed until another device is added.
Installation and setup
Installation is straightforward: press the plug into the unused white spur socket until it seats fully. When checking the network layout, confirm that the open connection is a spur port and not a backbone terminator position, since those locations use different parts.
