Overview

The MotorGuide 8M4004175 is a Lowrance 7-pin HD+ sonar adapter cable that links a Tour or Tour Pro trolling motor with HD+ built-in sonar to a Lowrance display that uses the blue 7-pin transducer port.

It passes 83/200 kHz and 455/800 kHz signals so the sonar picture comes from the transducer in the trolling motor, keeping the bow setup tidy and reducing the need to strap an external transducer to the shaft.

Compatibility and fit

On the trolling motor side, it is intended for Tour and Tour Pro motors that have HD+ built-in sonar. It is a sonar signal adapter only and does not replace trolling motor battery wiring.

Installation and setup

Route the cable along the trolling motor shaft with enough slack for stowing and deploying, then secure it so it cannot pinch at the mount or rub through where the shaft flexes. Leave the connectors supported and out of standing water, and avoid using the cable itself as a handle when separating plugs.

After everything is connected, set the display to read from the trolling motor transducer so the unit is not still looking for a transom or thru-hull source.
