Overview
The Raymarine E70636-00-NAG is a 9" Axiom+ multifunction chartplotter packaged with a Navionics North America Nav+ microSD chart card for coastal navigation, fishing, and cruising boats that need a central helm display without built-in sonar. It runs on 12 V DC systems with an 8 V to 16 V DC operating range, uses a 9" IPS touchscreen with 1280 x 720 resolution, and has a 1,500 nit screen for visibility at an open helm or pilothouse.
This unit works as the hub for a Raymarine electronics network, with RayNet Ethernet, NMEA 2000 through DeviceNet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a built-in 10 Hz GPS/GNSS receiver. The display is rated IPX6 and IPX7, so it is suitable for exposed helm locations where spray, rain, and washdowns are part of normal use.
Because this version has no internal sonar module, it is a practical fit when the boat already uses separate sonar hardware or when the main need is chartplotting, radar display, AIS overlay, camera viewing, autopilot control, and system monitoring through compatible Raymarine and NMEA 2000 equipment.
Key features
- 9" IPS touchscreen with 1280 x 720 resolution, 85 degree viewing angles, and 1,500 nit brightness for use in changing light at the helm.
- HydroTough oleophobic screen coating helps shed water, oil, and smudges so touch control stays more predictable in wet conditions.
- Built-in 10 Hz GPS/GNSS receiver tracks up to 28 satellites and supports GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou positioning.
- RayNet Ethernet and NMEA 2000 connectivity let the display integrate with compatible radar, AIS, instruments, engine data, autopilot systems, cameras, and other Axiom displays.
- Compatible with LightHouse Charts, Navionics, and C-MAP chart formats for flexible chart choices.
- 12 V DC power input with an 8 V to 16 V DC range, 8.95 W power consumption at full brightness, and a 7 A fuse rating.
- IPX6 and IPX7 waterproof ratings support installation on exposed helms, center consoles, flybridges, and cockpit stations.
- Surface, flush, and trunnion mounting options help suit different dash layouts and retrofit installations.
- 16 GB solid-state internal storage and one MicroSDXC card slot support charts, personal data, and system use.
Installation and setup
The Axiom+ 9 can be mounted on its trunnion bracket or installed into a panel using the supplied gasket and rear mounting hardware. For surface or flush mounting, the unit measures 244.08 mm wide by 157.78 mm high, with 178 mm depth including cables. Trunnion mounting brings the installed footprint to 265.03 mm wide by 187.81 mm high, with the same 178 mm depth including cables.
The included power and NMEA 2000 cable has a 1.5 m power lead and a 0.5 m NMEA 2000 lead. A 120 mm DeviceNet to SeaTalkng adapter cable is included for boats using Raymarine SeaTalkng backbone hardware. Planning cable exits and service access behind the dash is important, especially when adding RayNet radar, camera, or sonar network cables later.
Compatibility and system integration
For navigation electronics, this display can sit at the center of a larger Raymarine setup. It can network with compatible Quantum, Digital, HD Color, Super HD Color, and Magnum radar systems, and it can work with Evolution autopilot control, NMEA 2000 AIS data, supported IP cameras, and selected FLIR thermal cameras. It does not include NMEA 0183 support.
External sonar is supported through compatible Raymarine sonar modules over RayNet, including CP100, CP200, CP370, CP470, CP570, and RVX1000 systems. That makes this version better suited to boats where sonar is handled by a separate black box or where chartplotting and network display functions are the priority.
Use cases on board
This Axiom+ 9 is a strong match for center consoles, cruisers, sailing yachts, and fishing boats that need a readable 9" chartplotter at the main helm without stepping up to a larger display. It is also useful as a second networked station on a flybridge or cockpit when the boat already has Raymarine sensors and displays on board.
The included Navionics North America Nav+ chart card gives the package a clear regional navigation focus for North American waters. With radar, AIS, cameras, and autopilot data brought onto one screen, the display can reduce helm clutter while still leaving room for future system expansion.
