Overview

The Lopolight 201-014 is a 2 nautical mile, 360 degree red navigation signal light for 10 to 32 VDC systems. It is commonly used on vessels up to 50 m (164 ft) where an all-round red light is part of the required COLREG light display.

This light mounts horizontally on an FB flat base and comes pre-cabled with a 0.75 m shielded marine-grade cable, so wiring runs are straightforward on a mast, hardtop, or radar arch. Single stack versions measure Ø92.5 mm x 36 mm, while double stack versions are Ø92.5 mm x 58 mm.

The housing is anodized aluminum with a PMMA lens and sealing rated to IP68 for exposed locations that see spray and washdowns. Power draw is low at about 2.1 W, with typical current around 150 mA at 12 VDC or 85 mA at 24 VDC.

Finish varies between silver and black, and style varies between single stack and double stack. The stack style refers to the light module arrangement in the housing.

• 201-014-FB: Finish Silver; Style Single Stack. Single stack provides one all-round red light for installations that call for a single red signal light.
• 201-014-FB-B: Finish Black; Style Single Stack. Black finish suits dark masts, hardtops, and other low-glare installations.
• 201-014ST-FB: Finish Silver; Style Double Stack. Double stack provides two all-round red lights in one vertical assembly when the light plan calls for a pair of red signals.
• 201-014ST-FB-B: Finish Black; Style Double Stack. The double stack format keeps two red signals aligned while maintaining a black finish for darker mounting surfaces.

Installation and setup

Plan the mounting point so the light has a clear 360 degree view with minimal shadowing from antennas, flags, backstays, or other deck hardware. Keep the light level so the beam pattern is not tilted, and route the cable with chafe protection and a drip loop before it enters the structure.

On board, this is a good match for cruising yachts and working boats that need an all-round red signal light in an exposed location and want low electrical draw without adding extra cabling or external junction boxes.
