Product warranty
At Apollo Lighting, we offer marine lighting, electronics, electrical equipment, pumps, navigation products, safety equipment, boating accessories, and other marine products from a variety of manufacturers. Many of the products we sell may include a manufacturer’s warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. Because warranty terms vary by brand, product category, and model, all warranty coverage is subject to the specific terms established by the manufacturer.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing for a particular product, Apollo Lighting does not provide a separate product warranty or extend, modify, or replace the warranty offered by the manufacturer. The manufacturer’s warranty terms in effect for the applicable product determine the duration of coverage, eligibility requirements, exclusions, available remedies, and warranty claim process.
Manufacturer warranty coverage
Manufacturer warranties vary considerably between products. Depending on the brand and item, warranty coverage may apply for a specific period or, in limited cases, for the useful life of certain components. Some manufacturers may provide different warranty periods for individual components of the same product. Manufacturers may also require product registration, proof of purchase, a serial number, installation information, maintenance records, or other documentation to establish warranty eligibility.
Warranty coverage generally applies to manufacturing defects that occur during normal and intended use of the product. The manufacturer determines whether a condition qualifies as a covered defect and whether the appropriate remedy is repair, replacement, replacement of a component, manufacturer credit, or another remedy permitted under its warranty.
We strongly recommend reviewing the warranty documentation included with your product and any warranty information provided by the manufacturer before installation or use. If warranty coverage is an important part of your purchasing decision and the applicable warranty information is not listed on the product page, please contact us at info@apollolighting.com before placing your order and we will assist you in locating the available warranty information.
Marine equipment and operating environments
Marine equipment is commonly designed to operate in demanding environments involving water, salt, humidity, vibration, sunlight, temperature changes, electrical loads, and repeated use. Manufacturer warranties generally distinguish between a manufacturing defect and damage resulting from normal wear, improper installation, insufficient maintenance, accidental damage, corrosion, misuse, or operation outside the product’s specifications.
Depending on the manufacturer and product, warranty coverage may exclude normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, impact damage, misuse, neglect, improper storage, improper installation or wiring, incorrect voltage or polarity, electrical surges, insufficient circuit protection, corrosion caused by inadequate care or installation, chemical exposure, water intrusion resulting from improper sealing or installation, damaged connectors or wiring, modifications, unauthorized repairs, or use outside the manufacturer’s stated specifications.
Products specifically designed for exposed, wet, submerged, or underwater environments are not automatically excluded from manufacturer warranty coverage simply because they have been used in those environments as intended. However, damage caused by improper installation, sealing, wiring, maintenance, storage, modification, or operation outside the manufacturer’s specifications may not be covered. Final coverage decisions are made according to the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.
Marine electronics, electrical systems, lighting, and safety equipment
Certain marine products, including navigation lights, underwater lights, marine electronics, switches, electrical components, pumps, battery and charging equipment, communication and navigation equipment, and safety-related products, may have manufacturer-specific installation, inspection, maintenance, servicing, registration, or operating requirements.
Customers should follow all manufacturer installation instructions, wiring diagrams, voltage requirements, circuit protection requirements, maintenance schedules, care procedures, operating limitations, and safety information supplied with the product. When professional installation or periodic service is recommended or required by the manufacturer, we recommend retaining any invoices, installation records, inspection records, or other documentation that may be relevant to a future warranty claim.
If any electrical, navigation, pumping, lighting, communication, or safety-related equipment shows signs of malfunction, overheating, leakage, water intrusion, abnormal operation, physical damage, electrical damage, or any other condition that could affect its safe or reliable performance, discontinue use when appropriate and have the equipment properly evaluated before using it again.
Warranty claims
Warranty claims are handled according to the procedure established by the product manufacturer. Depending on the brand and product, customers may be directed to the manufacturer, an authorized service center, an authorized dealer, a distributor, or another designated warranty provider.
Apollo Lighting does not determine the manufacturer’s warranty coverage or control the manufacturer’s decision regarding approval, repair, replacement, processing time, or other resolution. However, we are happy to assist customers with identifying the appropriate warranty process, locating manufacturer contact information, confirming purchase information, or providing a copy of an available order receipt.
Before shipping, returning, removing, or sending any product for warranty evaluation, customers should obtain any required authorization, RMA or RA number, troubleshooting instructions, shipping instructions, or other information from the manufacturer or designated warranty provider. Products should not be sent or delivered to Apollo Lighting for warranty service unless Apollo Lighting has specifically instructed you to do so.
Proof of purchase and product registration
We recommend keeping your Apollo Lighting order confirmation or sales receipt for the life of the product. Manufacturers may require proof of the original purchase date, product serial number, model number, warranty registration, installation information, or other documentation when evaluating a warranty claim.
Some manufacturers offer additional benefits or extended warranty coverage when a product is registered within a specific period after purchase. Registration requirements vary by manufacturer, so customers are responsible for reviewing and completing any applicable registration process.
We also recommend retaining the product manual, warranty documentation, serial number information, accessories, installation materials, and original packaging when practical, as some of these materials may be useful during warranty service, troubleshooting, transportation, or product identification.
Defective, damaged, missing, or incorrect items upon delivery
Warranty claims are separate from issues involving merchandise that arrives defective, damaged, missing, or different from what was ordered.
If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, missing, or incorrect, please contact us at info@apollolighting.com or call us at +1 (954) 375-0100 within two business days of delivery in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy. We may request photographs of the item, packaging, shipping label, serial number, model number, or visible damage so that we can evaluate the issue and determine the appropriate next steps.
If Apollo Lighting verifies that the problem resulted from our error or that an item arrived defective, damaged, or incorrect, we will handle the matter according to our Return and Refund Policy. Depending on the circumstances, this may include return shipping assistance, replacement, or refund.
Returns versus warranty claims
Our Return and Refund Policy and a manufacturer’s product warranty are separate.
Merchandise that has been installed, wired, programmed, registered, altered, modified, used, submerged, exposed to water or marine conditions, or otherwise placed into service may no longer qualify for a standard return under our Return and Refund Policy. However, this does not automatically eliminate any manufacturer warranty that may apply to the product.
If a product develops a suspected manufacturing defect after it has been properly installed or used as intended, the issue may instead qualify for evaluation under the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty eligibility and coverage will be determined according to the manufacturer’s applicable terms and conditions.
Warranty shipping and service costs
Shipping, removal, installation, inspection, diagnostic, labor, repair, replacement, travel, haul-out, transportation, and other costs associated with a warranty claim are governed by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty and service procedures.
Some manufacturers may cover certain costs associated with an approved warranty claim, while others may require the customer to pay shipping, inspection, diagnostic, labor, removal, reinstallation, service, or other expenses. Unless Apollo Lighting has expressly agreed otherwise in writing or the issue is covered under our Return and Refund Policy as an error by Apollo Lighting or a verified defect upon delivery, Apollo Lighting does not guarantee reimbursement of expenses associated with a manufacturer warranty claim.
Customers shipping valuable marine equipment for warranty evaluation are encouraged to follow the manufacturer’s shipping instructions, package the product appropriately, and use tracking and shipping insurance when applicable.
Warranty exclusions and final determinations
Apollo Lighting cannot approve, deny, extend, or otherwise alter a manufacturer’s warranty unless expressly authorized to do so by the manufacturer. Any warranty determination, including whether a condition constitutes a manufacturing defect, whether the warranty remains in effect, and what remedy will be provided, is subject to the manufacturer’s applicable warranty terms and evaluation.
Warranty coverage does not replace proper product selection, installation, inspection, maintenance, servicing, or safe use. Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are installed, maintained, and used only for their intended purposes and in accordance with all manufacturer instructions, warnings, wiring requirements, specifications, operating limitations, and applicable safety requirements.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable law.
