Overview

The Garmin 010-11351-50 is a 3 m interconnect cable that links a Garmin Reactor autopilot CCU (course computer unit) to a steer-by-wire controller.

Use it when your boat has steer-by-wire steering and the autopilot needs the dedicated CCU-to-controller connection for steering commands and feedback.

The harness also includes bare-wire leads intended for a buzzer connection, which can be integrated into an audible alarm circuit if your installation uses one.

Compatibility and fit

This cable is used between the Reactor autopilot CCU and a steer-by-wire controller. It is not a general-purpose power lead or a network backbone cable.

Before ordering, confirm your steering is steer-by-wire (not a hydraulic pump drive) and that both the CCU and the steer-by-wire controller have the matching interconnect ports for this harness.

Installation and setup

Plan the routing from the CCU mounting location to the steer-by-wire controller and verify the 3 m length covers the full run with a little service slack. Keep the cable away from sharp edges, moving linkages, and high-heat areas, and add chafe protection where it passes through bulkheads.

In helm or console spaces, secure the run so vibration does not work the connectors loose over time, and keep connection points above areas that can collect spray or bilge water.

Use on board

This interconnect is a common need on boats with steer-by-wire where the CCU is mounted inside a console and the steer-by-wire controller is located near the helm. It also fits repowers and refits where the existing harness is too short, damaged, or missing.
