Overview
The Simrad 000-16295-001 is a cable pull-thru service tool that helps route transducer and network leads through tight runs without chewing up the connector end.
It connects to common fish-stick and fish-tape pullers using 8-32 and 10-24 male/female threaded ends, then uses the included fittings to attach to select Navico cable styles so the pull load stays on the tool instead of the plug.
On a boat, this is useful for pulls through rigging tubes, conduits, and helm dashes where tight bends or existing wiring can snag a connector.
Key features
- 8-32 and 10-24 male/female threaded ends to mate with many fish tapes, pull rods, and similar cable pullers
- Helps protect cable ends by giving you a solid pull point rather than pulling on the connector body
- Three fitting adapters for pulling common Navico Group cable families, including Yellow 5-pin Ethernet, NMEA 2000, xSonic transducer, 9-pin power, and HALO 2000/3000 power cables
- Reduces snags when feeding connectors through grommets, bulkhead holes, and tight conduits
- Intended for Navico Group installs, including Lowrance, Simrad, and B&G systems
What's included
- Cable pull-thru service tool
- Three cable fitting adapters
Installation and setup
Thread the tool onto your fish tape or pull rod using the 8-32 or 10-24 end that matches your puller. Attach the correct fitting for the cable you are pulling, then secure the joint so it cannot back off mid-pull.
For cleaner runs, keep the connector straight as it enters the chase, pull in steady strokes, and use a short leader line if the route has sharp bends or a long vertical drop.
Compatibility and fit
This tool is meant for Navico-style marine electronics cables where you want to pull the cable by an adapter instead of by the connector shell. If you are working with other brands or different connector families, confirm the connector style before the pull so you are not forcing a mismatch.
Use cases on board
It fits the kind of jobs where you are adding or replacing sonar, radar, or network wiring and need to get from the transom to the helm, up a T-top, or through a crowded electronics bay without damaging the connector end. It is also a practical add-on for installers who do repeat cable pulls in tight chases.
