Overview

The Vimar 8000 Series is a 2-module cover plate range for ø 60 mm round mounting boxes and the 08502 mounting frame. It is the visible finishing plate used to complete a Vimar wiring point, with snap fixing at the front and support for either horizontal or vertical mounting.

The range includes anodized aluminium versions in Gold, Bronze, and Black, plus a Resin version in Ivory. The aluminium versions measure 79.5 x 79.5 x 6 mm, while the Ivory Resin version measures 83 x 103 x 6 mm. All versions have a matt finish, are halogen-free, and carry an IP00 rating, so they are suited to dry, protected installation areas rather than exposed deck or washdown locations.

Variants

This cover plate is offered in four finish and material combinations.

Across the range, the format stays at 2 modules with snap fixing for ø 60 mm round mounting boxes and use with mounting frame 08502. Colour, material, and overall size change between the anodized aluminium and Resin versions.

• VM08606.BR: Color Bronze, Material Anodized Aluminium. This version uses the square 79.5 x 79.5 x 6 mm plate format shared by the aluminium options.
• VM08606.A: Color Ivory, Material Resin. This version uses the 83 x 103 x 6 mm format and gives the installation a lighter non-metal finish.
• VM08606.N: Color Black, Material Anodized Aluminium. It keeps the same square 79.5 x 79.5 x 6 mm format used by the other aluminium versions.
• VM08606: Color Gold, Material Anodized Aluminium. It uses the same square 79.5 x 79.5 x 6 mm format found on the other aluminium versions.

Compatibility and fit

This is the finishing plate only, so correct fit depends on the existing installation already using the Vimar 8000 system, a 2-module device layout, a ø 60 mm round box, and mounting frame 08502. It works as a direct replacement when those parts are already in place and the goal is to restore the face of the installation or change the finish.

On board, this type of plate makes sense in cabins, enclosed helm stations, galleys, and other interior spaces where Vimar modules are installed behind a finished panel face. The IP00 rating means the plate itself does not add water sealing, so it is better matched to sheltered areas than open exterior mounting points.
