Overview
The MotorGuide 941900020 is a 24 V bow-mount trolling motor with 82 lb peak thrust, a 45 in shaft, cable-steer foot control, and Pinpoint GPS for holding position and managing heading while you fish.
It is a freshwater setup that keeps the instant feel of cable steering while adding GPS modes like Anchor, Jog, Heading Lock, and Cruise Control. Steering range goes past 180 degrees, so backing down is handled by rotating the lower unit rather than switching the motor into reverse.
This is a good match for anglers who live on the front deck and want fast steering response, then want to lock the boat on a spot without dropping an anchor.

Compatibility and fit
This model is rated for freshwater use and mounts on the bow. The 45 in shaft length is the key fit point, so make sure it keeps the prop submerged in your usual chop while still clearing the bow when stowed.
Cable steering works best when the foot pedal is placed where you can stand and work it naturally, with enough open space for the pedal to travel and return to neutral without snagging gear.
Electrical and system integration
Plan on a dedicated 24 V trolling-motor battery bank using 12 V deep-cycle marine batteries wired for 24 V. A manual-reset circuit breaker should be installed on the positive lead within 6 ft (1.8 m) of the batteries.
The included battery leads are 10-gauge. If your batteries are farther away, use heavier cable rather than extending the stock leads beyond the recommended total run.
Pinpoint GPS can tie into an NMEA 2000 backbone for chartplotter control and motor status. For cleaner sonar performance, power sensitive electronics from your starting or accessory battery instead of the trolling-motor bank.
Installation and setup
Dry-fit the mount location before drilling so the shaft can deploy without hitting the rub rail, bow light, or trailer hardware. After mounting, route power and control cabling so the deck stays clear and the motor can steer freely through its full range.
GPS-guided modes rely on unobstructed steering. Before using Anchor or Heading Lock, confirm the pedal area is clear and the motor can rotate without binding.
