Overview
The Garmin 010-02595-51 is a 7-inch chartplotter/fishfinder combo with a keyed WVGA display (800 x 480), Garmin Navionics+ mapping for U.S. coastal and Great Lakes waters, and an included GT20-TM transducer.
It runs on 9 to 18 Vdc with a 3 A fast-acting fuse, carries an IPX7 water rating, and has built-in Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) for ActiveCaptain features and wireless sharing. Sonar output is 500 W with traditional CHIRP and ClearVü scanning views for reading fish and structure.
Key features
- 7 in WVGA display with 800 x 480 resolution and full keyed control set for zoom, mark, and menu navigation.
- Preloaded Garmin Navionics+ charts for U.S. coastal waters and the Great Lakes.
- Built-in 500 W sonar with support for traditional 50/200, 77/200, or 83/200 kHz plus single-channel CHIRP from 40 to 250 kHz.
- ClearVü CHIRP support at 260/455/800 kHz when paired with a compatible transducer.
- IPX7 water rating and 9 to 18 Vdc input with a 3 A fast-acting fuse.
- Built-in Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) for ActiveCaptain connectivity and wireless sharing with compatible ECHOMAP UHD2 5-inch and 7-inch models.
- microSD card slot supports up to 1 TB for charts, data storage, and screenshots.
- One 4-pin transducer port plus a dedicated power cable port.
Installation and setup
Mounting hardware for tilt (bail) or flush mounting is included. For reference, the unit measures 232 x 143.1 x 67 mm (9 1/8 x 5 5/8 x 2 5/8 in.) without the bail mount, and it needs about 62.5 mm (2 7/16 in.) of clearance behind the display.
On a 12 V system, typical current draw is 1.1 A (1.25 A max), with up to 15 W power draw. A clean feed from your electronics bus or a dedicated breaker helps avoid voltage drop when other loads cycle on and off.
Transducer and sonar notes
The included GT20-TM connects to the chartplotter’s 4-pin transducer port and can be mounted on a transom or a trolling motor. It has a 20 ft cable and a built-in temperature sensor, so water temperature can be shown alongside depth readings.
GT20-TM supports 77/200 kHz traditional sonar and ClearVü at 455/800 kHz with a 500 W rating. Depth capability depends on install and conditions, but traditional sonar can reach up to 1,900 ft and ClearVü up to 750 ft in suitable water.
Charts, storage, and on-water workflow
Preloaded Garmin Navionics+ charts cover U.S. coastal waters and the Great Lakes, so you can get underway without adding a chart card. Waypoints, routes, and tracks are easy to manage from the keyed interface, which stays practical when the helm is wet or bouncing.
The microSD card slot supports up to 1 TB for additional charts, saving user data, and capturing screenshots.
Connectivity and data sharing
Wi-Fi lets the unit connect to the ActiveCaptain app for software updates and access to shared community data, and it can wirelessly share sonar, waypoints, and routes with compatible ECHOMAP UHD2 5-inch and 7-inch units on the same boat.
Maintenance and care
After saltwater use, rinse the exterior and wipe it dry, especially around the card-slot door and connectors. Keeping plugs fully seated and protected inside the console helps reduce corrosion and intermittent power or sonar issues.
On-board use cases
This combo is a practical fit for center consoles, bay boats, and smaller pilothouse rigs that want charts and ClearVü down scanning on a single 7-inch screen. It also suits trailer boats and skiffs where a straightforward keyed interface matters more than touch control.
