Futura - Housing Low Voltage - 50W, 120V (FDL-3N)
Introducing the Futura, a small aperture low voltage housing perfect for marine lighting applications. The Futura features an integral magnetic transformer that steps down 120V to 12V, making it compatible with MR16 lamps up to 50W.
Safety is a top priority with the Futura. It comes equipped with an integral thermal protector that guards against misuse of insulation materials and improper lamping. This ensures that the housing is always operating at optimal conditions and reduces the risk of accidents or malfunctions.
The junction box of the Futura is listed for through branch circuit wiring and has three 1.12" knockouts and four Romex knockouts with true pry out slots. The Romex pryouts include built-in strain relief and require no additional clamps, making installation quick and easy.
The Futura also features pre-installed, captive bar hangers that allow the housing to be positioned at any point within a 24" joist span. Score lines are provided for easy field shortening for 12" joists. The unique arrowhead design of the Futura provides nail-less installation, and the bar hangers can be repositioned 90 degrees without tools. The hangers fit onto T-Bar spline for quick alignment and can be permanently secured with an optional T-Bar clip.
Installation of the Futura is a breeze, with a height of only 5 1/2" that allows use in 2"x6" joist construction. The housing can be removed from the plaster frame for junction box access, making maintenance and repairs hassle-free.
The Futura is certified by UL as safe for damp locations and feed through. It is also ETL and CETL certified, ensuring that it meets rigorous safety and quality standards. Additionally, the Futura is CUL feed through listed, providing peace of mind for those using it in marine applications.
