Futura - Insulated Housing - Low Voltage, 120V (FDL-3IC)
Introducing the Futura - Insulated Housing Low Voltage - 120V (FDL-3IC), the perfect solution for task and accent lighting where the housing will be in direct contact with insulation. This small aperture low voltage AIR-TITE housing is designed for MR16 lamps and features a lampholder on trims that adjusts 40" from vertical (eyeball trim adjust to 30").
Constructed with double wall housing and integral thermal protector, the Futura housing ensures proper lamping and limits air exchange between the plenum and heated or air conditioned areas. The junction box is listed for through branch circuit wiring and comes with seven 1 1/2" knockouts, true pryout slots, and four Romex pryouts with integral strain relief.
Thanks to its pre-installed captive bar hangers, the housing can be positioned at any point within a 24" joist span without the need for nails. The unique arrowhead design allows for nailless installation and the bar hangers can be repositioned 90° without tools. For quick alignment, the hangers fit onto T-Bar spline and can be permanently secured with the optional T-Bar clip.
With a height of 7 1/4", the Futura housing can be used in 2"x8" joist construction and can be easily removed from the plaster frame for junction box and transformer access. The housing is UL damp location, UL feed through, ETL certified, CETL certified, and CUL feed through listed, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
