Futura - Housing Line Voltage - 50W (FDN-3N)
Introducing the Futura - Housing Line Voltage - 50W (FDN-3N), a small aperture housing designed to provide accent and task lighting in marine environments. This housing uses twist and lock JDR 50W lamps for efficient and reliable lighting.
One of the standout features of this housing is its integral thermal protector, which guards against the misuse of insulation materials and improper lamping. Additionally, the junction box is listed for through branch circuit wiring and comes equipped with three 1.12" knockouts and four Romex knockouts with true pry out slots. The Romex pryouts also include built-in strain relief and require no additional clamps.
Pre-installed captive bar hangers allow for the housing to be positioned at any point within a 24" joist span, while score lines make it easy to field shorten for 12" joists. The unique arrowhead design also allows for nail-less installation, and the bar hangers can be repositioned 90 degrees without the need for any tools. The hangers fit onto T-Bar spline for quick alignment and can be permanently secured with an optional T-Bar clip.
Installation is a breeze with the Futura housing. Its 5 1/2" height makes it ideal for use in 2"x6" joist construction, and the housing can be easily removed from the plaster frame for junction box access.
The Futura - Housing Line Voltage - 50W (FDN-3N) has been thoroughly tested and certified for use in damp locations, making it perfect for marine environments. It is also UL Feed Through, ETL certified, CETL certified, and CUL Feed Through, providing peace of mind that you are using a product that has met the highest safety standards.
