Overview
The Hella Marine NaviLED 360 is a pole-mounted all-round white navigation light rated to 2 nautical miles, with Multivolt 9-33V DC input for 12V and 24V systems.
It is sealed to IP67, so it handles spray, rain, and washdowns when mounted on a mast, hardtop, rail, or transom pole. Power draw is about 1W, which keeps the load light when it runs for long periods.
The lamp uses a single LED and a 360 degree optic to keep the light even around the horizon, and it comes pre-wired with 2-core tinned marine cable.
Key features
- All-round white 360 degree light with a 2 NM visibility rating
- Multivolt 9-33V DC input for 12V or 24V systems
- IP67 sealed unit for wet mounting locations and routine washdowns
- Low power draw around 1W for extended runtime on board
- Offered with fixed or fold-down pole mounts to suit trailering, storage height limits, and bridge clearance
- Housing color options in black or white to match common topsides finishes
Variants
This listing is a parent product with multiple pole-mount configurations.
Across the variants, the lamp remains a 2 NM all-round white NaviLED 360 unit with Multivolt 9-33V DC input and an IP67 sealed body, while the housing color (black or white), pole length, and mounting type change. Pole lengths offered here are 6 in (152 mm), 8 in (205 mm), 12 in (315 mm), 20 in (510 mm), 24 in (605 mm), 34 in (865 mm), and 40 in (1015 mm). Mounting types are fixed pole mount or fold down pole mount.
Compatibility and fit
Use it where you need an all-round white 2 NM position light and where the mounting height and sightlines meet your vessel requirements. Pole length is often the deciding factor on boats with biminis, hardtops, radar arches, or aft-mounted rod racks, since the lens needs a clear 360 degree view.
Shorter poles keep the light closer to the mounting surface in tight layouts. Longer poles lift the light above gear and can help reduce glare in the cockpit.
Installation and setup
Fold-down mounts are helpful when the light needs to be lowered for bridges, storage, or trailering. Fixed pole mounts are typically used when the light can stay upright full-time.
Route the cable so it is supported and protected from chafe, and on fold-down versions leave enough slack so the wiring is not pulled when the pole is lowered.
Electrical and system integration
Wire it into a switched navigation light circuit on your DC panel, using a fuse sized for the circuit and your vessel’s wiring plan. The Multivolt electronics handle normal battery and charging variations on 12V and 24V boats.
Use sealed connectors or heat-shrink terminations in exposed areas to keep corrosion out of the conductors over time.
Materials and sealing
The housing uses plastic that holds up to corrosion exposure and sun, and the lens uses Grilamid plastic that resists impacts and UV over time. The IP67 sealing keeps water out of the light body in typical marine mounting locations.
Standards and approvals
Approvals include IMO COLREG 72, USCG, Wheelmark (MED), and ABYC C-5.
Use cases on board
This light suits boats that want an all-round white lamp with very low current draw for nights at anchor, dockside use, and low-visibility running where an all-round light is required. It also fits setups where a fold-down pole helps clear a cover, garage door height, or storage rack limits.
