Overview

The Hella Marine 995003071 is a fold-down combination masthead and all-round (anchor) navigation light on a 20 in pole for vessels up to 20 m (65 ft) in length. It runs on 12 V and is rated for 2 nautical mile visibility, with a base footprint of 2-3/16 in x 2-1/32 in for tighter mounting pads on the transom, cockpit coaming, or cabin top.

The pole folds through 180 degrees and locks in position, which helps when a full-height light would catch a cover, interfere with trailering, or get in the way at the dock. The housing and lens use plastic that resists UV and impact, the pole is anodized aluminum, and the assembly carries IPX6 water protection for rain and washdowns.

Installation and setup

Mount the base on a solid surface where the light has an unobstructed view and will not be shadowed by an outboard, bimini hardware, antennas, or fishing gear. A removable wedge is included to help match slightly curved or angled mounting surfaces so the lamp sits correctly when upright.

The short factory lead is intended to be joined inside the boat, below the mounting surface. Use marine-grade tinned wire for any extension, seal the splice with adhesive-lined heat shrink, and leave a drip loop so water cannot track along the cable into the mounting hole.
