Overview
The Victron Energy LYN060404010 is a Lynx Class-T Power In M10 module for connecting and fusing up to two lithium battery strings in a high-current DC distribution system. It combines positive and negative busbars with positions for two Class-T fuses, giving a clean way to bring battery power into a Victron Lynx installation.
This unit is rated for 9 to 60 V DC systems and 1000 A continuous current, making it suitable for serious 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V battery banks when the rest of the installation is sized correctly. It uses M10 connections and accepts Class-T fuses in 225 A, 250 A, 350 A, and 400 A ratings, which are purchased separately.
The enclosure measures 279 x 169 x 97 mm and weighs about 2.1 kg. With an IP20 protection class, it should be installed in a dry, protected electrical space rather than an exposed cockpit, bilge, or washdown area.
Key features
- Connects and fuses up to two lithium battery strings in a Victron Lynx DC distribution setup.
- Includes positive and negative busbars with locations for two Class-T fuses.
- Supports 9 to 60 V DC systems with a 1000 A continuous current rating.
- Uses M10 terminals for compatibility with other M10 Lynx components.
- Accepts 225 A, 250 A, 350 A, and 400 A Class-T fuses, sold separately.
- Includes a connection point for grounding the DC system.
- ABS enclosure with tinned copper busbars for protected installation spaces on board.
- IP20 rating makes it appropriate for enclosed electrical compartments, battery lockers, or equipment panels that stay dry.
Installation and setup
The Lynx Class-T Power In is normally used near the battery bank as the entry point into a modular Lynx distribution system. It helps keep the main battery connections organized, with fuse protection placed close to the source of DC power.
For installations with three or more lithium battery strings, additional Lynx Class-T modules can be used so each pair of strings can be connected and fused in the same style. Cable sizing, fuse selection, torque values, and overcurrent protection should match the battery bank, inverter load, charging sources, and applicable marine electrical standards.
Compatibility and fit
This module is part of the Victron Lynx Distribution System and works with other M10 Lynx products. It is a practical match for boats using lithium battery banks, high-output inverter chargers, solar charging, alternator charging, or other DC loads where a tidy, serviceable busbar and fuse arrangement is needed.
The M10 terminal format matters when planning the rest of the system. Match it with M10 Lynx modules and appropriately terminated battery cables to avoid mixing hardware sizes in the same DC distribution assembly.
Marine use notes
On a cruising boat, fishing boat, or offshore power system refit, this module is most useful where high-current lithium battery connections need to be protected, accessible, and easy to inspect. It is not a weatherproof deck-mounted part, so the right location is a dry electrical compartment with enough clearance for large DC cables and service access.
The operating temperature range of -40°C to +60°C suits typical onboard electrical spaces, provided the installation is protected from standing water, direct spray, loose gear, and excessive heat from nearby equipment.
