Overview
The Lopolight 300-136+112G2 is a combined navigation light that puts a 6 NM 225° masthead light and a 3 NM 360° all-round white light into one horizontal-mount fixture. It runs on 20 to 32 VDC and draws 13 W, which lines up well with 24 VDC onboard systems.
This unit is specified for vessels over 50 m (164 ft) and is typically used where you need the masthead sector and an all-round white light from a single mounting position. The housing measures 92.5 mm in diameter by 129 mm high (3.6 in x 5 in) and weighs 2 kg (70.54 oz), so plan for a solid mounting surface.
Key features
- Combined output: 6 NM 225° masthead light plus 3 NM 360° all-round white light
- 20 to 32 VDC input for 24 VDC electrical systems
- 13 W power draw with 580 mA current consumption at 24 VDC
- IP68-rated enclosure for heavy spray, washdowns, and wet mounting locations
- Silver anodized aluminum housing with a PMMA lens and A4 stainless steel screws
- Plug connector for a clean install and easier service work
- Operating temperature range from -25°C to 55°C
- Approved to COLREG72 and EN14744 and carries USCG approval
Compatibility and fit
This is a horizontal-mount light, so it’s meant for a flat mounting face where the fixture can be leveled and aligned to keep the 225° masthead sector and the 360° all-round light unobstructed. On larger yachts and commercial vessels, that usually means a mast platform, wheelhouse top, or a purpose-built light bar where rigging and antennas will not cut into the arcs.
Electrical fit is straightforward for 24 VDC boats, but confirm the circuit stays within the 20 to 32 VDC range under charge. Minimum feed wire gauge is 0.5 mm² (22 AWG); longer runs on tall masts may call for heavier wire to keep voltage drop in check.
Installation and wiring
Mount the light securely and verify orientation before final tightening, since small alignment errors can matter when you’re trying to keep sectors clean on a working mast. The plug connector helps keep the connection consistent and makes it simpler to remove the unit for service without disturbing the wiring run.
As with any nav light on a larger vessel, keep the cable route supported against vibration and protect the connector area from standing water. After installation, do a nighttime check underway or at the dock to confirm there are no shadows from hardware or superstructure.
Materials and corrosion resistance
The anodized aluminum housing and stainless fasteners handle typical topside exposure, including salt spray and sun. A quick rinse after offshore runs helps keep salt crystals from building around fasteners and the lens edge, especially if the light is mounted where washdowns hit it directly.
