Overview
The Garmin 010-11613-00 is an 8-pin female to wire block adapter that lets you reuse a legacy 6-pin, non-differential transducer with a Garmin sounder connection that expects an 8-pin plug.
It’s built as a compact adapter box (4.1 x 2.3 x 1.9 in.) with a 24 in (61 cm) lead to the 8-pin connector, so you can mount the box where the transducer cable is accessible while keeping the 8-pin connection neat at the back of the display or sonar module. The housing carries an IPX7 water rating (IEC 529), but it should be installed where it won’t be submerged.
This is a practical fit when you’re upgrading electronics but don’t want to haul out or disturb a working thru-hull or in-hull transducer. It’s not intended for Garmin differential 8-pin transducers that already plug directly into an 8-pin port.

Compatibility and fit
Use it when you have a legacy Garmin or Airmar 6-pin, non-differential transducer that you want to hard-wire into a Garmin system with an 8-pin transducer connection. Common applications include installations with echoMAP 50s and 70s, GPSMAP 4xx, 5xx, and 7xx units, and GSD 24 sounder systems that use an 8-pin transducer port.
If your transducer is a Garmin differential 8-pin model, it should connect directly to the 8-pin port instead of being cut and terminated into an adapter box.
Installation and setup
This is a cut-and-terminate install. The legacy transducer connector is cut off, the outer jacket is stripped back about 3 1/2 in (90 mm), and each conductor is stripped about 1/4 in (6 mm) before landing the wires on the internal block using a 3 mm flat screwdriver. Tinning the stripped conductors is recommended, but not required.
After the connections are secure, tighten the cable gland around the transducer cable with a 13/16 in (21 mm) wrench to clamp the jacket and help keep water out of the housing. If the transducer does not have temperature capability, the wire block requires a jumper between terminals 4 and 5 (ground and temperature) to complete the circuit.
Mount the box where it stays out of bilge water, has strain relief on both sides of the cable, and can be reached later if you ever need to re-terminate wires. Keeping it away from high-current runs and ignition wiring helps reduce noise that can show up as clutter on the sounder return.
Maintenance and care
After the first few runs, re-check the cable gland for snugness and inspect the housing for any signs of water intrusion. In saltwater environments, a quick fresh-water rinse around the outside of the box during routine washdowns helps keep grime and salt buildup from working into cable entries over time.
