Overview
The Simrad 000-15070-001 is a dash mounting kit for the Cruise-5 5-inch display that lets you mount the unit through a cutout so it sits flush against the helm panel.
It comes with a cutout template, a gasket, corner clips, and four mounting screws so the display can clamp down from behind the dash and seal cleanly at the bezel.
This is the right approach when you want the Cruise-5 sitting tight to the dash instead of on a bracket, especially on smaller consoles where space around the wheel and throttle gets crowded fast.

Installation and setup
Use the template to mark the cutout, then confirm you have access behind the dash for the connector backs and corner clips before you make the cut. Once the opening is clean, place the gasket, seat the display in the cutout, and tighten the screws evenly so the bezel pulls down without twisting.
If your dash core is wood or cored fiberglass, sealing the exposed edge after cutting helps keep moisture from wicking into the panel over time.
Compatibility and fit
This kit is intended for the Simrad Cruise-5 display. Plan for a flat mounting surface and enough clearance behind the helm to route cables and fit the corner clips without sharp bends.
Use on board
Flush mounting helps keep the helm cleaner and reduces snag points when you are moving around with lines, rods, or foul weather gear. It is common on small fishing boats, RIBs, and compact pilothouse helms where you want the Cruise-5 easy to see but not sticking out into the cockpit.
Maintenance and care
After the first few trips, give the fasteners a quick check to confirm everything has stayed snug, then include the bezel area in your normal fresh-water rinse after washdowns. A quick yearly look at the gasket area is usually enough to catch loosening from vibration early.
