Overview

This incandescent pole light is USCG 2 nautical mile certified and uses a 12 volt bulb rated at 11 watts and 0.94 amps. The white translucent polymer globe, black polymer base, and 3/4 inch diameter anodized aluminum tube suit common mounting points such as windshields, T-tops, rails, arches, and hard tops.

The range is offered with horizontal and vertical mount options, so the fold direction can match the available space around the attachment plate. Both versions use a fold-down, adjustable-angle layout and include a polymer adapter for flat or V type mounting with a notch for through-base wiring.

Variants

This light is offered in two mounting configurations. The key difference is the fold direction in relation to the base, which matters when checking clearance around glass, canvas, rails, electronics, and nearby hardware.

The core light type, white globe, black polymer base, 12 volt bulb, 3/4 inch anodized aluminum pole, and USCG 2 nautical mile rating are consistent across these two configurations.

• 1137DP0CHR: vertical mount. The pole folds 90 degrees in either direction along the plane of the attachment plate, which works well where the mounting surface and stowage path run in the same direction.
• 1134DP0CHR: horizontal mount. The pole folds 90 degrees in either direction opposite the plane of the attachment plate, giving a different stowage path for windshields, hard tops, arches, and rail-mounted installations.

Installation and fit

Before installation, check the fold path as well as the pole height so the light clears windshield frames, canvas, antennas, rod holders, and other deck hardware. The vertical mount version has an overall height of 15-1/2 inches with base dimensions of 2-1/4 inches by 5/8 inch and 1-5/8 inch center-to-center base dimensions. The horizontal mount version has an overall height of 15-3/8 inches with base dimensions of 2 inches by 1-1/2 inches and 1-3/8 inch center-to-center mounting holes.

The mount uses #8 screws. Route wiring through the base where appropriate and keep the connection protected from spray and standing water, especially on open boats and exposed hard-top installations.
