Overview
The Raymarine T138 is an external solar panel for keeping compatible Raymarine Micronet wireless components charged when they are installed where their own solar cells cannot get enough light. It is made for the T121 Hull Transmitter and T122 Wireless NMEA Interface, and it can also support Micronet instruments mounted below decks that are not able to charge from their built-in panels.
The panel has a 10-foot cable, giving installers room to place the solar charging surface where it can see daylight while the connected device stays in a protected location. Its rated output is 1W / 8V DC, and the panel measures 4.33 in. x 4.33 in., so it is a practical fit where space on deck, in the cockpit, or near a companionway is limited.
Key features
- External solar charging source for Raymarine Micronet wireless accessories.
- Compatible with the T121 Hull Transmitter and T122 Wireless NMEA Interface.
- Useful for Micronet instruments installed below decks where built-in solar charging is limited.
- 10-foot cable helps separate the panel location from the connected below-deck device.
- Small footprint makes placement easier on boats with limited mounting space.
- Rated output of 1W / 8V DC for low-power Micronet charging applications.
Installation and setup
Mount the solar panel where it will receive regular daylight and route the cable back to the compatible Raymarine Micronet device. The 10-foot lead is helpful when the transmitter or interface is mounted inside the hull, behind a panel, or in another protected area that does not get enough light for built-in charging.
This accessory is best suited to existing Raymarine wireless instrument installations that need a dedicated charging source rather than a general-purpose boat solar panel. Before installation, confirm the connected device is a T121 Hull Transmitter, T122 Wireless NMEA Interface, or another compatible Micronet instrument.
Compatibility and fit
The T138 is a good match for sailboats and other vessels using Raymarine Micronet wireless instruments, especially where hull transmitters or network interfaces are mounted below decks. It helps maintain charging without relocating the instrument hardware to a more exposed position.
